I've worked for over 18 years with survivors of trauma and vicarious trauma - sexual, physical, emotional, mental and or neglect. Often these traumatic injuries appear in life as anxiety, depression, addictions, flashbacks, unhealthy relationships or chronic pain. I attend with safety and empathy to these patterns and habits that appear in belief systems and emotions, and to the important role the body plays in responding to, storing and repairing harm. I specialize in including mindful attention to the body with talk therapy to help clients unlock the painful legacy of trauma.
I have extensive experience working with both women and men survivors of sexual abuse.
My experience as a Registered Yoga Teacher led me to the sensorimotor approach in talk therapy. Each client is unique and I compassionately integrate attention to the emotional and mental impacts of harm and trauma with attention to the impact of trauma on the body.
