I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) who is passionate about supporting individuals find their way through challenging or stressful life situations, destructive patterns, powerful emotions and unhelpful relationships. I believe in prioritizing the client as the expert of their lived experiences and empowering you with necessary tools/skills that can be helpful outside the therapeutic process. While you may not have an exact 'goal' in mind, collaborative meaning-making and perspective can be equally valuable in understanding and moving through challenges.
I draw primarily from a narrative counselling approach to support clients in viewing their concerns as separate from themselves as to encourage a sense of agency in one's life. Where appropriate, I also utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to address any unhelpful thoughts, behaviors and patterns.
