Step Stone Psychology offers a unique and dedicated Health Psychology Service aimed at supporting children and youth with co-occurring physical and mental health needs. We also work with caregivers and provide support in the context of caring for a child with medical concerns. We have experience with various health-related presentations and understand how physical and mental health challenges can impact the ability to engage in academic, social, and family life. Therapeutic support can assist with these needs by promoting greater mind-body awareness, improved quality of life, and greater physical and mental health outcomes.
We provide evidence-based treatment for a range of health psychology concerns including coping with a medical diagnosis and prognosis, health anxiety, needle and procedural fears, medical trauma, chronic pain, symptom management, somatization and somatic disorders, and more. Our services also include psycho-educational and psychodiagnostic assessments.
