The focus in therapy is on providing a safe and non-judgemental environment for you to talk about your concerns and take the steps needed to achieve your goals for treatment. I draw inspiration from my own real-life experiences that include a healthy and happy decades-long marriage which taught me a great deal about family dynamics and their impact on the various stages of the family life cycle. As a co-op advisor for many years at the University of Waterloo, I counselled students from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds on a range of workplace issues while helping them establish their career and academic goals.
My training in Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy has given me the option of integrating both spiritual resources and psychotherapy theory into clinical practice. Therapy methods that I bring to treatment sessions include, Solution-Focused, Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy.
I help clients address a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety and stress and relationship, workplace and family issues. As a mental health therapist, I understand that it takes courage to ask for help to make the changes needed to live life better.
