Taking that first step to reach out for support and discuss your story is a great sign of strength and it also signifies the beginning of a personal, enriching journey. I work alongside children, adolescents, and adults and work towards goals that are formulated in collaboration with clients to ensure that any unique needs are being met and inner strengths/resources are being nurtured. I have experience working with clients who present with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, body-image concerns, relational concerns, and other difficulties. I have also worked alongside those who have experienced trauma and/or loss.
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, rather I strongly believe in following the lead of my clients and tailoring interventions/techniques to their unique needs and desires. I primarily adopt a trauma-informed, strengths-based, humanistic lens and draw upon core tenets of CBT, narrative therapy, and emotion-focused interventions.
I feel very honoured to be in this profession and work with such diverse, courageous individuals. I continuously strive to provide a warm, safe, inclusive space while using fun, creative interventions with any child clients. It is my hope that the therapy room becomes a place of safety and comfort, where clients can feel seen, heard, valued, and cared for.
