The concept of our “self” can be approached in numerous ways. In my practice, I see our consciousness and actions as driven by parts. These parts can operate with various outcomes with a baseline of wanting to do good in your life; however, in different situations, these parts can do more harm than we want. The mind and body are such complex systems that it would be foolish to think that a single method will work for everyone. My practice sees a combination of theories including Internal Family Systems and Narrative Therapy.
I focus on a combination of theories including Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) from a person-centered mentality.
