As a therapist, I am all about connection and relationships. My job is to create space for you to explore your experiences while feeling connected and supported. My counselling style is flexible to suit the needs of my clients. My practice is centered on humour, empathy, and understanding to help guide clients to deal with the challenges that life presents. My first experience with counselling was as a client and what I enjoyed about the process was the ability to talk through my problems, feel supported and learn more about myself. My passion is to be able to provide that same support to my clients.
I draw from my experience not only as a counsellor but as a teacher who has worked with youth struggling with depression and anxiety. I am a person-centered therapist while using both trauma-informed therapies (EFT and mindfulness) and behaviour therapies (CBT and DBT). I am flexible and my style is adaptable to what best suits the needs of each client.
I love a good conversation and have experienced giving and taking dialogue in therapy as a positive thing.
