I work with children and adolescents 4-12 years of age who are experiencing difficult life situations such as anxiety, divorce/separation, loss, trauma, anger, school issues, poor self-esteem. I also provide a parent-based treatment called SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) for children and adolescents with anxiety and OCD. Parent consultations also provided.
Since many children have difficulty expressing themselves verbally, I incorporate therapeutic play with evidence-based models (Play Therapy, CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, Family Therapy) to meet the needs of each child based on age, interests, and treatment needs. I work with parents/families to provide support that is child-centred, collaborative, and engaging.
