Growing up in a Caribbean family taught me to serve others. Embracing Islam strengthened my passion for helping others. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients, inspired by the kindness of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. When I experienced a loss of purpose and an inability to tap into my inner strength, I had the blessing of meeting a female mentor Dr Tamara Gray, who gently guided me by encouraging me to re-write my narrative of my sensitivity as my power rather than a weakness.
I have provided emotional and spiritual support to female converts with Rabata, a female-led non-profit. I completed clinical pastoral education with Muslim Chaplaincy and the University Health Network. I use a client-focused and spiritually integrated approach with tools from DBT, narrative, and solution-focused therapy.
