I am a Registered Psychologist and work with adults age 19+. I specialize in working with post traumatic stress, and have experience with police, veterans, first responders, as well as victims of motor vehicle accidents who are nervous drivers or passengers. I work with anxiety, fears, phobias, and depression and sleep difficulty. I also help people with work-related stressors. I help people become more assertive. I help with grief/loss. Personal growth and wellness and helping people to prepare for difficult challenges who need resource building.
Training in diverse therapy modalities helps me to tailor therapy to fit your unique needs. I offer CBT and other cognitive based therapies such as Cognitive Processing Therapy. EMDR is an evidence-based treatment that helps with PTSD and adverse life experiences. I have training in psychodynamic approaches and I do hypnosis.
Asking for help is brave. It is never too late. I enjoy working with a diverse client group. A strong trusting relationship with my clients is powerful. I am warm and caring. I incorporate humour, and what I have learned about mindfulness into my sessions. My photography is part of my own mindfulness practice. I see people in person and via telehealth
