When you feel like you can’t be yourself, it hurts. Lots of things get in our way: abuse, systemic bigotry, feeling overwhelmed, or struggling to find motivation. Sometimes we even know what we want to be different, but somehow can't make it happen. Whether you're working through this on your own or with a partner, sorting through the challenge to find where to start can be really difficult.
In sessions, we'll explore your unique struggle, develop an understanding of the triggers and causes, organize your internal and interpersonal experience, and work towards greater agency. Emotionally Focused therapy provides an opportunity to develop this awareness in experiential sessions.
