Welcome to Dragonfly Counselling. My name is Barb Geurtsen and I would love to help you with life's challenges, and to make positive changes. I offer effective strategies and assistance to clients with anxiety, panic disorder, addictions, trauma, grief and loss to name a few. I also have 17 years experience owning my private practice, and also doing counselling in a First Nations community. I offer tele-therapy through video and/or phone. When we talk about anxiety, panic disorder and trauma, we don't realize how they can work together in a negative way and affect our Mental Health. I can help you work through these issues and lead a happy and healthy life. If you have addiction issues, I can offer to do assessments and treatment referrals, and also harm reduction.
I support clients in cultivating healthier thought patterns and behaviors through cognitive- behavioral techniques. I am passionately committed to go the extra-mile for your well-being and recovery from trauma and/or other struggles. I enjoy working with all ages.
