I am a 20 year infantry combat veteran and son of a 27 year veteran of the Halifax Police Force. I created the Atlantic Group and Trauma Training Center as a space that "gets it". A place that is not only culturally competent for military, law enforcement and first Responders, but is also a hub to teach these competencies to other clinicians and helping professionals interested in working with these populations. The AGTTC specializes in high stakes, high adrenaline professions, where the mission comes before self. It is OUR mission to bring the self back , so that they can be Mom/Dad, husband/wife. You CAN be both!
I specialize in trauma. My background is in Somatic Experiencing and exposure therapies. I have developed the Allodynamic Model of Nervous System Recalibration, which teaches mastery of the nervous system for peek performance at work or emotional availability at home. I offer culturally competent care that reclaims ABILITY.
