As a Registered Psychotherapist, with over 15 years in psychology, I know that reaching out for support can be difficult. I assure you that even exploring the option of therapy is a step in a healthy direction to overcome your struggles and improve your life! I am passionate about working with Teens, Adults, Parents and Families for issues such as Eating Disorders, parenting struggles, excessive worry or anxiety, feelings of "I'm not good enough", low mood/depression, stress, trauma, complex mental health issues, family & relationship diffiulties, abuse, and emotional distress. I welcome a conversation to explore working together!
Using an integrative and trauma-informed perspective, incorporating elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cogntive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focussed Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Attachment and Mindfulness based approaches. In my work, I practice the following 4 Cs: being client-centred, compassionate, curious, and collaborative.
I understand and have a deep respect for cultural identities and the intersectionality on one’s mental health. Through my own lived experiences as a South Asian immigrant, I am aware of the stress and challenges that are rife within the community. Therefore, I appreciate my clients for all aspects of their identity, values and experiences.
