Hello, I am a psychotherapist and a play therapist, offering Child, Youth, and Family psychotherapy services. I also offer individual adult psychotherapy services. Psychotherapy is provided to individuals and families experiencing trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, mood and behaviour regulation issues, self-esteem issues, life transitions, ADHD, Autism, bullying and other social concerns. CHILD: Children naturally communicate, understand, learn, and heal through play. Older children may benefit through a combination of Play Therapy and Talk Therapy.
ADULT: Through Talk Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness, Play Therapy and other approaches, individuals may start to express and better understand their emotions; begin to relieve distress and learn to work through their anxiety; change unhelpful habits, attitudes, and behaviours; and they may gain a more adaptive way of coping.
My clinical experience and Master’s Case Study work was with individuals experiencing anxiety and trauma. I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and I was trained in Play Therapy by the Canadian Association For Play Therapy (CAPT) and I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
