I have extensive experience working in an acute care and community setting working with persons in emotional crises, with mood disorders, struggle with suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors and addictions issues. Additional experience with people who may have relationship discord or struggle with self-esteem and those in need of support developing a plan to implement change using a behavioral goal-oriented approach.
I employ the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and C(ognitive)BT. My training and practice have included individual and group therapy in an outpatient and crisis setting. I would be happy to facilitate therapy in a virtual environment (Zoom Healthcare) to accommodate a clients personal life, especially given concerns related to the pandemic.
