Who am I? Why don’t I feel anything? Why do I just “numb out” with TV, with drinking, or with endless scrolling? Why do I have no energy? What was I put on this earth to do? These questions and more have become all too common in our society. “Purpose” and “authenticity” have become popular buzzwords, but what do they mean? Most of us hide behind versions of ourselves that we have been taught to show to others, while pushing our true selves into the background. Sometimes, we lose sight of who we even are.
