As a therapist, my areas of focus include ADHD, autism, anxiety and LGBTQ+ issues. I help adults and teens manage worry and sadness, and to improve organization, focus and emotion regulation skills. My approach strikes a balance between providing practical tools and guiding you in processing your emotions deeply. In this way, we practice what it is like to "feel our feelings" without becoming stuck in them in ways that are no longer helpful. I have experience helping neurodivergent people reflect on ways that masking their differences has impacted them, and helping them find ways to cope in a world that is at times overwhelming.
I draw from emotion-focused, cognitive behavioural, somatic and mindfulness-based therapies in my sessions. I encourage clients to practice providing themselves compassion during difficult moments, and I work with their inner strengths and values when moving towards change. My work is also LGBTQ+ affirming.
Most importantly, I ensure that we work at a pace that feels right for you. I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to feel seen and heard. Together, we can collaborate on a treatment plan suited for your needs. I look forward to supporting you and bearing witness to your story.
