Welcome! My name is Daniel Nehmetallah, I am a Registered Social Worker and trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. As someone who’s struggled with mental health while navigating intersections of identity and culture, I understand what it is like to struggle internally. Seeking out help can be a challenging journey that requires self reflection and a willingness to embrace vulnerability, especially when there are many barriers in place holding us back. With this, I strongly believe that every person is deserving of transformation and healing.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, anger, OCD, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, system navigation and I tailor my therapeutic techniques to meet your specific needs through an anti-oppressive and trauma informed lens. My particular approaches that I use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Parts Work.
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, active listening, advocating for social justice and a deep understanding of the unique challenges that life can present.
