Challenging and traumatic life experiences can leave people feeling stuck, isolated, and disconnected from themselves and the world around them. Anxiety, negative self-talk, flashbacks, dissociation, withdrawal from life, and sleep issues are just some of the ways in which experiences from our past can impact our present. I have spent over 10 years working with people who have been impacted by domestic abuse and intimate partner violence, sexual assault, childhood trauma, and the sudden and traumatic loss of a loved one.
My approach is eclectic and collaborative. I draw from diverse therapies developed to treat the impacts of trauma- including EMDR and IFS. My aim is to normalize the ways people learn to cope and adapt, support processing, and assist people in reconnecting with themselves and moving towards the life they want to live.
