My experience includes working with, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-esteem, trauma/PTSD, anger management, and crisis. Additionally I have professional experience working with first responders, the LGBT community, forensic clients, sex workers and victims of human trafficking. As well as several years working directly with female mental health needs and I have become attuned to the unique needs and challenges that this population faces.
Through an anti-oppressive and trauma informed approach, I support clients to explore past challenges and embark on personal change. I utilize a number of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
I strive to have a deep understanding of my clients and believe in meeting the client where they are in order to move forward, while recognizing that each client’s experiences differ based on their needs. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship with all my clients and am committed to creating an environment that meets the client’s unique need
