Relationships can be wonderful! But boy, sometimes they can take a turn and leave us in dark places, questioning our life choices, and thinking thoughts we’d never thought we’d think about our partners. You’re not alone! And chances are, with a little help, the impasses you believed to be impossible are actually quite manageable - and the wounds that you thought would never heal are indeed quite mendable. When working with couples, I draw primarily from the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) model, an evidence-based approach that has been shown to be highly effective in helping partners re-establish healthy, intimate connections.
In therapy, I will strive to ensure that you both feel heard, not judged. There are no bad guys, and we’re all on the same side (even if it doesn’t feel that way right now)! I will strive to provide a safe environment so that you can be truly honest, with yourself and with your partner.
I also work with individuals, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re coming in on your own! I work with individuals struggling with addiction, depression, and anxiety. I am a Person-Centered therapist that borrows principles from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic approaches.
