There is a saying that is very true and I believe that most people need to hear it. "It's okay to not be okay;" Everyone has their own challenges and struggles in life. I have been able to gain valuable experience working with anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. I have experience using modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). These modalities work with many challenges and struggles, meaning there is no right or wrong modality.
I offer a Person-Centred approach and like to establish a good therapeutic (positive) relationship from the very beginning. Establishing a positive relationship before any (tough) work can be done is very important. We are people first before our challenges and struggles, so the first session will be an introduction but will also go at your own pace.
I am not perfect; no one is perfect. Perfection is hard to come by because it is an unachievable goal. There is always room to learn and grow. My clients are the expert on their own life and I am here to help guide them down the dark path
