Some people seek my help to deal with current life struggles, a significant loss, or a change or life transition. For some, past childhood and/or adult abuse have had long-lasting effects on who they are and how they feel in the world. Often, people are looking for help to manage better and flourish more in life. I offer individual adult therapy for these issues. As a professional with over 20 years of experience, I also offer consultation to other therapists; I welcome questions about this aspect of my practice.
My approach is warm and thoughtful, and I listen very carefully with the aim to understand as deeply as I can without making assumptions. I strive to be straightforward and genuine and to provide space to sort through the issues that bring each person in to see me.
It is very important to me to have a practice that is respectful and inclusive with respect to all of the ways that we as humans are different. Please feel free to call me and ask me about my practice and whether I would be a good match to your needs. If I can’t help, I’ll try to help you find another professional.
