Welcome. My name is Cassie and I am an experienced Registered Social Worker (RSW) practicing psychotherapy with youth (10+) and young adults. I possess a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA), Child & Youth Worker Diploma, and Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree (HBSW). I have worked in social services and mental health for the past 10 years in a variety of settings, which has given me a broad understanding of the complexities and diversity of problems facing young people, including attachment issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, emotion regulation and life transitions.
Grounded in authenticity and compassion, my approach is eclectic and client-centered, incorporating various evidence-based practices, including MI, CBT, DBT, IFS and Narrative, to help young people: recognize strengths; develop insight and self-esteem; learn to cope with strong emotions; navigate problems effectively; and improve their overall well-being.
