People come into therapy, often, because they are in a crisis of some kind - personally or relationally. They are at a cross-roads; they are filled with indecision. They may not know 'where to start' when I ask them what brings them into therapy, but they know that they feel very far away from themselves; they feel very far away from contentment or happiness. Maybe there has been a 'tipping point' that underscores the urgency to look at self-destructive patterns. In the midst of the crisis is also a clarity, a readiness, a yearning for change - for wholeness.
What I bring to my therapuetic work, beyond the training, is the fundamental belief that psychological healing can only happen in a place of compassion, respect, non-judgement, and safety. So often our core wounds are a result of the absence of these very things. So I begin here.
