I’m from Melbourne, Australia and lived in Toronto for over three years. Prior to living in Canada, I spent over six years as a mental health clinician working in youth mental health, community health, and addictions. I’m incredibly passionate about supporting adolescents, teenagers and young adults, to achieve optimal mental wellness and thrive in their communities. I am dual licensed, practicing in Canada and Australia. Alongside my private practice, I work in the non-profit sector providing trauma counselling to children, youth and adults with refugee backgrounds.
I have experience supporting and guiding individuals through concerns about mood, anxiety, occupational/school stress, (cross)-cultural and racial identity, gender and sexuality, refugee and (re)settlement experiences, trauma, substance use and addictions, interpersonal and relational problems, and more.
I maintain anti-oppressive and anti-racist practice, and offer a trauma informed and LGBTQIA+ affirming space. As a Vietnamese-Australian woman, I identify as a proud woman of colour with an ongoing awareness of intersectionality and systems. No matter who you are or where you come from, you are welcome here.
