Therapy can be a daunting thing to consider, especially when dealing with grief. Grief can be overwhelming and evoke feelings of anxiety, depression, hopelessness, and confusion. Grief changes us in an instant, sneaking in and building a home in facets of our lives that we least expect. Grief is not solely about death; it encompasses any loss we experience. If you feel you're not "grieving properly," find the grief journey too overwhelming, or believe that having someone accompany you on this path would be beneficial, working with me may be one way to address the internal chaos felt after a loss.
As a registered social worker and certified death doula, I have supported many individuals experiencing loss. I have also dedicated several years to assisting BIPOC grievers, acknowledging that grief can be further complicated by marginalization, oppression and intergenerational trauma. I offer individual and group counseling sessions, training, and more.
Grieving is not meant to be experienced in isolation. Let's work together so I can support you through your grief journey. I offer a space for you to process the mess and find ways to cope with the new reality that grief has presented. I am here to witness, validate, and guide you into your next chapter as a griever. Let's connect!
