My name is Carl. I’m a psychotherapist and a couple and family therapist. I have been in practice for thirty years ( I know, I look so young). I work with individuals, couples and families with mental health, addiction, and relationship difficulties. I like to listen to people and to help them make sense out of what they’re going through. My ideal client appreciates that therapy is hard work and sometimes painful, but can also be fun. I will provide you with a safe place to express your feelings, explore your hurt, and begin new growth. You should learn something new. That’s the fun part.
I have a flexible approach that combines my training and experience with what you need and believe will be the most helpful. I want to use your strengths. I incorporate hypnotherapy techniques to help you access your inner resources. I have a medical background as well as religious training. Issues of meaning and belief are welcome.
I love to listen to people's stories and to help people change what they want to change. I strive to keep the therapy space - physical or virtual - safe for all of its occupants, respectful of everyone's values, and a place where new ideas can be discovered and tried out.
