I work with adults, seniors, and teens who are wanting to explore aspects of their identity, mental health challenges, difficult experiences, adjustment to changes or transitions, or how to find more joy and connection. I also have experience supporting pregnant people and their families through complicated pregnancy, birthing, and postpartum experiences, and supporting healthcare workers with stress and burnout. The theoretical framework I use is eclectic. It draws from expressive arts, relational, cognitive behaviour, and psychodynamic therapy, and attachment, mindfulness, polyvagal, trauma-informed, and somatic theory.
The therapy approach that I offer recognizes the client as the expert in their own experience. We explore and reflect at their own pace. As a therapist I enter each session with a calm, curious, and compassionate presence. I work with clients to explore and determine what therapeutic approach works for them. This is an ongoing co-creative process.
