I am a relationship and marriage counselling specialist. I know you want to feel better so I ensure your results are maximized by using the latest clinically proven therapies and measurements. My desire to serve the community in which I grew up in, has always been important to me. I have worked at overdose prevention sites, harm reduction residential facilities, suicide crisis lines, and employment family assistance program (EFAP). It’s been a privilege to work with such a diverse range of clients. Having lived experience as a first responder, I am aware of how trauma can profoundly impact the mind and body. I utilize a blend of evidence-based practices including humanistic culturally responsive and socially just approaches (CRSJ). I specialize in addiction, relationships, trauma, anxiety and depression.

Some days life feels extra difficult. You might have difficulty making the connection you want with the people around you; you might face some really hard decisions that seem impossible to make; you might be dealing with anxiety, depression or anything else and just want life to be a little easier. Husain is a strength based and multicultural Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC) with experience working with adults, children & youth. Husain provides care for anxiety, panic attacks, mood disorders, depression, grief, trauma, stress-related disorders, brain injuries, relationship issues, substance misuse, PTSD, ADHD and/or bipolar disorders. Husain currently works at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Mental Health Substance Use therapist and works with complex clinical health cases. Husain also provides specific counselling to victims of assault and/or injury. This includes ICBC or CVAP clients.
