I am a clinical social worker with many years in various fields including community social services and mental health, plus hospital social work and private agency assessments. I have extensive perspective on people dealing with issues such as adoption, child protection, disabled family members, seniors and family dispute. I am currently concentrating on providing video individual or couple sessions for clients in my private practice from an office in my home. I strive to provide an empathetic, person centered service, that is non-judgemental, confidential and collaborative.
I see myself more as a guide, than an expert. I firmly believe each person has the right to decide what is right for their life and make their best choices. Everyone needs help once in awhile and an objective, professional perspective can be of great assistance. I am licensed in both NB and Maine, so can offer sessions in either jurisdiction- Florida soon?
I do bring life experience in dealing with issues like mid-life crises, dealing with adult children or grandchildren, losses in relationships, retirement and other life transitions. I also have experience in dealing with various religious or spiritual organizations/perspectives, so am comfortable in exploring spiritual journeys with others.
