The world is changing, and we can all feel and see it. The value of taking care of our mental health is becoming increasingly important, as we become more aware of our past and as we step into our future together. You may be feeling anxious, depressed, confused, lost, or you may simply not know how to feel or what to feel. You may have difficulty communicating. You may be feeling good but just want to explore yourself or are curious to grow in unique and different ways. Maybe you are having relationship issues, or maybe you want to reconnect to spirituality. These are all wonderful reasons to talk to a counsellor.
I use an integrative approach so that I can adapt to what each person needs. We’re all different and we have different needs at different times. I also believe that you know best how you can grow. My job will be to support and guide you, and when the time is right, to help challenge you in a positive direction.
In the past, I have struggled with anxiety, depression and addiction. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can all be, and during those times I relied on the support of professionals. I have worked with street-involved youth and adults and I am also a community member of new, alternative therapeutic modalities so I bring a diversity of experience to you.
