My practice currently focusses on Neurofeedback. Seeing a Neurofeedback therapist is a different kind of therapy experience. The main focus of your sessions is on improving your brain health and retraining your brain waves so that you’ll begin to feel better, sooner. Neurofeedback can help with a wide range of difficulties including those related to mental health and wellness, ADHD, ASD, learning struggles, disrupted sleep, mTBI/concussions, and long Covid. It is therapy with the brain in mind. Neurofeedback is a way of teaching the nervous system how to regulate itself, getting it 'unstuck' and more flexible and resilient.
When I first encountered Neurofeedback, my daughter was struggling with persistent post-concussion symptoms. I was skeptical at first, but we were still hopeful. Seeing how quickly her symptoms began to shift, ignited my curiosity and now passion for Neurofeedback. I understand that trying something new can be exciting, and it can also be a bit scary.
This type of therapy is a research-proven, drug free method for teaching your brain to function in a more balanced way. It is important to know that although the technology is quite sophisticated, the process is simple and non-invasive. At Brainstorm, we see people of all ages. Interested in learning more? Neurofeedback is best done on a weekly basis. We often get asked 'how many sessions do a I need to do?'. My reply is that it depends if you want quick change or lasting results. Many begin to notice small shifts in their nervous system even within a session or two. Often, one session can begin a cascade of improvements including better sleep and more energy.

Infraslow neurofeedback can be a quick and effective way at regulating the nervous system, getting it 'unstuck' and more flexible. Neuroscience is allowing us to reframe mental health, learning impairments, neurodiversity, trauma, injury and post-viral symptoms as all relating to brain health. Nuerofeedback is a non-invasive way of improving brain health, promoting well-being and resilience.
