Being a teenager can be difficult..add to that stress about school, friends, and the pandemic and you've got a perfect storm for anxiety, depression and emotion dysregulation. Now, more than ever, youth need mental health support. I get it; I've been working as a mental health nurse with youth for the past 22 years and I've seen first hand the importance of listening, empathy and education on mental wellness.
I am trained in CBT and DBT. I also have knowledge of motivation interviewing and change theory. I have a trauma informed lens when working with clients. My expertise is in working with youth aged 12-24 in a supportive, empathetic and collaborative atmosphere.
