Anxiety and depression are common issues in my practice and they can be the underlying condition in many situations. They can affect relationships, parenting, work performance, family dynamics to name a few. Therapy can assist with problem solving and gaining a better understanding of the behaviours that are causing difficulties in life. Some of my work involves life coaching and I am also a divorce coach. I offer expertise and support in the overwhelming process of separation and the difficulties involved in supporting children through divorce and separation.
Many of my clients are dealing with issues that may stem from depression and anxiety. My first step is to provide an understanding of how anxiety and depression impact you emotionally, mentally and physically. Then we look at strategies to reduce and manage. I specialize in ADHD, addictions, relationships, and PTSD/trauma. My practice is trauma informed.
I tend to make very quick connections with the people. My sense of humour helps to bridge some of the initial discomfort. I have been working with people for over 40 years and I enjoy my work. I think that is why people respond to me fairly quickly. Life throws curve balls and the key is to manage our response. It is a skill we all need to learn.
