I offer trauma-informed therapies such as IFS, ACT, mindfulness, somatic, Bowen family systems, and narrative.
Our world right now is a tough one to live in. Violence, oppression, discrimination, climate distress, and political polarization are just a few of the topics that clients tell me contribute to their mental health distress. Anxiety and depression seem like pretty reasonable responses to these extraordinary times. I can help you to find your hope, freedom, and empowerment to be part of the change our world needs. I support you to reconnect to your self, family, community, and planet in ways that are healing rather than harmful so that together we can be part of the solution.

Hakomi and Internal Family Systems, are mindfulness, somatic psychotherapies, which give me the tools to assist people in self discovery, to remember their strengths, process grief/suffering, and to be empowered to choose more nourishing experiences and relationships.
I am committed to honouring the unique qualities of each individual and helping them explore their innate resources for well-being. Whether you are healing from a trauma, anxious about this stage in your life, or adapting to a changing world, we can work together to help you cultivate a more meaningful life and develop skills to navigate challenges. As both the Director and RCC at Thriving Roots Counselling Services, I support youth, couples, and families on their healing journeys, many who have been rediscovering their own gifts and resilience with my support.

A long-time yoga and mindfulness instructor, I use a holistic framework that addresses the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual elements of a client’s process.
We all need help at some point in our lives. When we notice that anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts or unhelpful patterns of behaviour are interfering with who we are and how we want to live, it may be time to reach out for support.

I have a background in philosophy, creative arts and mindfulness practices.
In psychotherapy, we work through our unique stories and struggles, build emotional resilience, and develop greater insight into our selves. Working with a psychotherapist allows us to safely reckon with our destructive patterns, and to begin to weave new patterns that better support us. We deepen our awareness of our inner worlds, and in the process, we transform our relationships with ourselves and with each other.

I often incorporate mindfulness practices along with CBT modalities to connect you with your present self.
When we feel stuck or disconnected, we are likely experiencing a change in our momentum. My goal for our work together is to inspire forward momentum, however big or small. Rather than chasing goals, I strive to stretch your natural strengths and abilities in order to achieve your desired outcomes. By working together to equalize your own playing field, we can explore the stressors and challenges in your life. This allows us to find strategies to best manage your presenting symptoms while exploring the root discomfort.

As an avid student of yoga and meditation, I strive to bring mindfulness into my counselling work.
"Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions"- Dalai Lama. Life can be challenging. Navigating those challenges can feel overwhelming at times, but you do not have to do it alone. Reaching out takes a tremendous amount of courage and I would be honoured to be a part of your healing journey. I believe that a strong therapeutic connection contributes greatly to healing and that it is essential to meet clients where they are at in their own personal journey and work forward together.
