With specialized training in IFS, Psychedelic Integration Therapy, EMDR and more, I support individuals who want to explore their inner world, move through anxiety, depression, addiction & grief, heal from trauma, and create their own path in life.
You thought you knew exactly where you were headed in life—until one day, you didn't. Maybe you know why. Maybe you don't. All you know is that you're so tired of trying to live life by everyone else's rules. You're ready to discover your own path, without apology—to let go of the self-doubt, the critical inner voice and the fear of others’ judgment that's been holding you back. You know you are ready for something new, but you don't want to do it alone. Change feels hard and scary—but even more, you're scared of being stuck. You’re ready to start walking your own authentic path…you just need some support to make it happen.

Welcome! I'm a registered social worker offering online psychotherapy across BC and Ontario. Specializing in trauma-focused therapy, I provide a supportive space for BIPOC, Queer, and Neurodiverse folks, but my door is open to all who connect with my values. My approach acknowledges the profound impacts of trauma and systemic injustice, while also valuing the richness and complexity of our experiences that exist alongside suffering. I aim to nurture a space where we address the pain of trauma and oppression, and actively reclaim the immense potential for joy, pleasure, beauty, and fulfillment in your life.

Scientifically-proven tools including solution-focused therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and neuroscience therapies like EMDR will help you get results, and faster than traditional "talk" therapy.
I love my work! For over 20 years I've been helping individuals and couples create a life they love with proven, measurable, effective and fast methods to break through old patterns, get past limiting beliefs, and create possibilities they never knew existed. This isn't therapy like you've seen it on TV or in the movies, it doesn't have to take years. If you're tired of the "same old, same old" you deserve to feel better.

No matter the situation, I am here to support my clients in the process of identifying, understanding, and addressing their challenges. Through this collaborative process my clients are able to foster self-awareness and acceptance, so they can cultivate new perspectives and develop effective strategies to reach their goals.

I offer an integrated trauma informed approach using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), client centred therapy, family systems, and emotionally focused therapies.
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming as we try to understand who we are and how/why we react the way we do. Finding balance as we navigate the stressors and joys of life; including our relationships, education, careers, life transitions, loss, or parenting; can feel like a daunting task. Yet, when we take the time to understand and value ourselves, we often feel happier and have more energy for the relationships and responsibilities we value and carry. Everyone experiences difficulties and my goal is to provide a trauma informed, safe, welcoming, and non judgemental space where you can reflect and navigate the challenges you face.

Psycho-therapeutic interventions like EMDR, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy can support the clients in their healing path and transform their life from a survivor to a thriver.
Psychotherapy is the confidential process where you can get insight from an experienced registered Psychologist in understanding how life-stressors can interfere with your thinking patterns, feelings, beliefs, needs, behaviour and relationships. Prolonged exposure to stress, unhappiness, conflict, trauma, abuse or problematic relationships can lead to anxiety, depression, grief, anger or other behavioural problems. Brain research clearly indicated that early psychological intervention can prevent mental and physical illnesses. Clients now have the opportunity to be proactive and learn the skills on how to protect their mental health, restore their competence and happiness and develop a strong sense of well-being and resiliency.

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimising its ability to trigger anxiety.
