Although my foundational training is in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, I approach counselling with growth and curiosity for both clients and my practice, so I regularly train in new research-based modalities which allow me to adapt to the needs of my clients.
Counselling is a collaborative process of exploring the difficulties (stress, emotions, experiences) that the client brings forward in session. Counsellors promote change by helping the client to focus on the feelings, thoughts, behaviours, and experiences that are maintaining barriers to attaining goals. Counsellors are there to “do with” not “do for.” The client is the one that leads the way, while the counsellor acts as a guide or support. My goal is to help you find your voice and your path to being your favorite version of you!

CBT: Goal-setting, monitoring automatic thoughts, looking at biases in thinking, and overcoming negative outlooks are the major areas of CBT.
I believe the core of human development is physiological, psychological and spiritual. Supportive therapy can help awaken an individual's dormant spirit and guide them through profound personal transformations. I work with adults, couples, and groups. I apply client-centered Lifespan Integration (LI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT). In addition, I add a Cross-Cultural approach when working with my immigrant clients (Iranians & other immigrant communities). LI: The human mind develops interactively in response to the early childhood environment. The developing neural system "hardwire" interprets events and stays with individuals throughout their lifetime.

A customized treatment plan for you will combine psychotherapy (optimizing your mind) with specialized cognitive and neuroscience approaches (like CBT, Somatic Experiencing or Rapid Resolution Therapy).
It's hard to live your best life when struggling with anxious and ruminating thoughts. Or feeling disconnected from your partner. Or reliving old trauma that's been following you around. Are you struggling with ADHD, PTSD, depression, or an unwanted habit? Feeling lost and stressed in your career, or overwhelmed with responsibilities? Needing support as you navigate LGBTQ+ challenges? You are looking for therapy that works, right?

My main approaches are cognitive-behavioral ( CBT), positive psychology, and using elements of lifestyle that we know from research contribute to our health.
You are perhaps considering counseling or consulting at this point because either you have been dealing with a tough situation, possibly for too long, or you are doing well but would love to feel even better, more satisfied with your life. I work with career professionals and leaders on anxiety, burnout and mood problems as well as issues such as work stress, life transitions, return to work, self-esteem, loss and grief, and coping and communication skills.

I offer a variety of techniques, such as somatic experiencing, cbt, ifs, narrative therapy.
Have you found yourself feeling overwhelmed, spending your days anxious or depressed? Perhaps you've received unhelpful advice, read self-help books, or tried to power through. People are hard-wired for connection, and we heal through relationships. Therapy can be a safe place to develop connection, heal childhood wounds, rewire your nervous system, accept yourself, and experience more joy and confidence. I use what I've learned on my own healing journey, as well as from my professional experience, to help others develop a happier, more meaningful life and better relationships.

In doing this, I utilize elements of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy ( CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness practices.
Having been a client myself, I know that counselling can be enormously transformative and rewarding. At the same time, I also understand that it can require incredible courage, which is why I consider it an honour and a privilege to hold space for those with whom I work. My approach emphasizes nonjudgment, empathy, and respect for all clients, as well as their sense of safety and genuine connection in the room. Many of these folks are seeking support as they navigate issues related to relationships, interpersonal conflict, masculinity, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy ( CBT).
Life taught me that unexpected circumstances are opportunities for self-discovery and growth. A good therapeutic relationship is key to feeling comfortable in counselling. While psychotherapy can include a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches, finding a therapist that is the right fit for your style and needs is very important. Research shows that the client-counsellor rapport can be just as therapeutic as the type of therapy. Clients can expect a friendly, calm person working with curiosity, respect and openness. I am here to listen to you without judgment and with a genuine desire to support your growth and wellbeing.

I have training in modalities such as dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy ( CBT), motivational interviewing (MI) and more.
I work with youth, adults, and families who may be struggling with concerns such as emotion regulation, self-harm, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, substance use, psychosis, stress management, and much more. I acknowledge that being a human in this world can be difficult. We all face complex challenges in today’s society, and these can feel even more overwhelming during adolescence and young adulthood. I work to come alongside clients, and help support them along their own recovery journey.

I draw from mindfulness, Gestalt therapy, CBT, DBT, and attachment neuroscience to fit each individual's needs and concerns.
Feeling stuck, stressed, or overwhelmed? Worried about your work or relationships? Struggling with uncertainty? Finding yourself avoiding or procrastinating on things that are important to you? Life is incredibly difficult at times, and we often feel alone in our suffering. You don't have to get through it on your own. In counselling, when we feel safe and understood, we can connect to our natural ability to heal and thrive. I work with my clients to help them to deeply explore and make sense of their struggles, uncover their inner wisdom and resilience, and become their best, most authentic selves.
