The road to a joy filled life can sometimes take detours. After all, isn't that what we all want? A life honoring ourselves and living it to the fullest? Often those detours send us to bumpy roads that have not been well cared for and they can come without us having much say in it. Trauma and conflict can be the cause of those detours which, left unaddressed, can wreak havoc on the rest of our lives. Who wants to be asked to relive trauma? The good news is that you don't have to! I am trained in techniques that help the body and mind process these wounds without the pain of retelling the story.

Often my clients are wanting to explore a personal issue/problem/feeling that won't go away and is starting to affect almost every part of their life. Advice from friends or family isn't helping and nothing else they have tried has worked. They believe there must be a better way to be but somehow they are just stuck. I can help you tackle your issues, get unstuck, and find that better place. Both personally and professionally, I can attest to the power of awareness as a key factor in facilitating a desired change; We can’t find the truth listening to our own voice’s echo. We can find ourselves only in someone’s mirror”(Rumi, n.d)

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Counselling Art Therapist. I am CVAP and FNHA qualified. I believe that everyone should have access to holistic equity-based counselling. As such, I am passionate about creating a safe, respectful, and validating space for you to explore your mental health and lived experiences through traditional talk therapy with the option of art and the art making process. I excel at helping clients who are experiencing feeling numb in their life, over think constantly, feel anxious, depressed, like their lives are lacking and unable to change, experienced complicated, traumatic childhoods that have left them hurt, confused and wanting to alter course. I help women who want to understand themselves more, find their voice, to listen to their needs, wants and to finally be able to live a life that feels theirs. I enjoy helping teen girls who are struggling to understand themselves, experiencing tough friendships, hurts and worries learn coping tools for now while working to heal for a new way forward.

Feeling overwhelmed or pulled in so many different directions? Maybe, you feel unsettled, anxious or just “stuck.” You know that something needs to change, but are not sure where to start. Processing emotional pain or relational struggles by yourself can be very overwhelming. And it can be unbearably lonely. The people I work with are amid grief, or navigating tricky life changes. Others are struggling with relationships or carrying the weight of past hurt and trauma. I work to help clients feel what they may have avoided because it seemed too big and overwhelming.

Life never seems to follow the map we drew out exactly how we would like. Despite the plans we create, human nature is to engage in relationships, which are almost always unpredictable and can cause conflict and challenges. My goal is to help support you while you process, navigate, and explore the unexpected in life in a safe space. My approach to counselling is to create a warm, understanding, client-centred environment to support you with compassion, and empathy, and view your situation holistically.

Therapy can be exciting but also a challenging step for many of us. Sometimes we feel unheard or misunderstood, so we give up on working through those issues. Other times, our experiences may seem too painful or impossible to deal with, so we continue to ignore or push problem away. We all need support during difficult times. My practice focuses on creating an authentic therapeutic environment to help you through these challenges. Having someone working with you through difficult times can be life changing. I hope you will reach out if you are needing that support and continue on the journey of self-care and healing.

Making changes can be hard! Come explore and discover what motivates you and gain self-awareness. My approach is client-centred, strengths-based, and goal-oriented. I've been told I'm relatable, bring warmth, humour, and authenticity to my sessions and I provide a safe space where people can be open about anything (I believe secrets cause sickness). I've also been told I am good at helping with accountability as well. I'd love to work with you to create goals to improve your life, and then build a roadmap to achieve them. "Empathy and unconditional positive regard" (no judgement) is my motto.

Hello, my name is Elisha, and I would be honored and privileged to be able to support you in your journey. I am a junior counsellor in Langley, BC. Through a holistic counselling approach, I strive to help clients heal by taking their life experiences and interconnected being into consideration for treatment and assessment purposes. My goal is to be a rock-steady supportive force in my client’s lives as we work, first, to make the most out of the adversities and suffering they encounter, and then, to help fulfill their vision of a life worth living. With fierce compassion and companionship, cultural humility, coping skills, solution-focused strategies, and a dash of existential humor, I cater to my clients as unique human beings with individual needs. I intimately know what it’s like to not have a safe space where you can be seen for who you truly are, so I understand how exceptionally important it is for my clients to have our therapy be that secure base.

Counselling can be deeply personal and vulnerable, and it can take a lot of courage to open up in the therapy space. At the pace you set, my goal is to facilitate a process where you can deepen your connection with yourself, increase your understanding of your inner experience, and learn new tools, skills, and coping strategies to navigate life’s complexities. I aim to foster a supportive, healing environment to help you utilize your strengths to create meaningful changes in your life. I take a collaborative and anti-oppressive approach, so throughout the process, I will always emphasize choice, empowerment, and safety.

After 50 years in counselling I remain more intrigued than ever by opportunities to support positive growth. At key junctures in life's journey we are confronted with painful experiences that can create the required urgency for needed change. By carefully focusing on a client's unique story I extend an invitation to collaboratively clarify goals and set new directions. I draw from a wide variety of therapeutic approaches but also the life experience gained by being a father of 5, experiencing a diverse and enriching career path, as well as overcoming my own share of adversity along the way.

Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Celiane and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I graduated in 2020 with a MA in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University and have been working in the mental health field in various capacities before and after my degree, notably spiritually counselling university students and supporting individuals with disabilities. Working closely with people feels deeply meaningful to me as I consider individuals as relational beings in constant interaction with themselves, others, and the world. However, I believe these processes of connection can be disrupted by traumatic experiences.

It can be challenging to find the right counsellor for you or your loved ones' needs. If you are experiencing difficulty and are looking for someone to speak to about anxiety and stress, mood changes, eating concerns, self-esteem and body image, substance use, work-life balance, or academic stress I would love to speak to you. As you know, daily life struggles can become overwhelming contributing to a variety of emotions such as feeling alone or a sense of loss of control. I would like to offer support during those challenging times. If you don't see one of your concerns listed above, please call, email, or follow the website link.

I have a very warm and accepting approach and understand that life can be complicated and a good conversation can make a significant difference. I have experience working with a range of concerns, including couples/marital difficulties, depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, family of origin concerns, life transitions and spirituality. Also, I'm thankful that I can draw upon my many years of experience helping others as a former pastor and director of a successful education-based young-adult program. I provide therapy to adults, young adults, and couples.I am happily married and have four school-aged children.
