한국어 설명은 위 "한국어" 를 클릭하세요. From birth to death, we constantly move between the spectrum of stability and fragility. No one’s always firm, and no one’s always vulnerable. No one’s entirely powerless or one hundred percent stoic in the face of challenging circumstances. Counselling cannot immediately alter the external factors of your situation, but it can encourage a better response from you. I wish, through counselling, you will find opportunities for growth and change.

Sometimes life events make us feel as if we are inside a tornado or stuck in a fog. I’ve been there myself, I know how it feels. It caused me to lose touch with my true self and cross paths with anxiety & depression decades ago. Finding my way back to myself was so impactful that I left a solid career in corporate to become a Registered Counsellor. If you find yourself lost in that fog battling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, childhood trauma, low self-esteem, relationships or disconnected from your true self, I am here to help you clear the way so you can reclaim your true self again, mind, body & soul. :)

Trauma to me is any distressing event that impacts our emotional responses or ability to feel fully engage in our lives. Even if there are shared life experiences, each one of us has a unique emotional experience and understanding of the event. Therefore what we identify as traumatic for one may not be for another. As a child I yearned to understand other's experiences influenced the way in which they navigate their world in the face of trauma. It seemed that in many people's experiences there is a difficulty in being emotionally honest without a feeling overwhelmed or frozen, especially so when there has been trauma(s) suffered.

Now accepting new clients! As a therapist who has lived experience with C-PTSD myself, I often work with clients who are looking for support in unlearning some of the protective patterns that they developed in childhood that are no longer helpful to them in their adult lives. I can offer a level of understanding beyond being trauma-informed, as my personal history combined with my education in trauma can support you in gaining a deeper understanding of how your reactions make sense on a biological level and how we can tap into the mind-body connection to create new, healthier patterns so that the old ones may eventually fall away.

Life experiences can leave us feeling stressed, anxious, inadequate and even hopeless. At times we feel lost, as we struggle to navigate the pain and discomfort we are feeling and may be unsure of how to take steps forward. Counselling can be a place where we make space for the painful experiences of the past, our hopes for the future, and embracing all of who we are and hope to be. No matter what difficulty you are facing, there is hope in restoring what feels lost or broken and support for you as you process, heal, grow and find meaning.

Emotional pain is inevitable in life. Feelings of stress, inadequacy, disappointment, anxiety, anger, and sadness are universal and part of the shared human experience. Every individual experience these feelings through different situations and all of us interpret these experiences through varied perspectives because of our past and personality differences. In order to move on from our hurts, sometimes we learn to mask our feelings by suffering in silence or behaving as though everything is okay. However, when we avoid facing our pain, they may fester within us and surface through family / career / relationship / health issues.

Our lives each contain moments of great joy and sorrow, pain and pleasure, opportunity, and obstacle. At the center of these experiences is our innate search for connection. We need relationships, they are precious and critical, and yet they are not always easy to navigate. Do you struggle to express your needs to your partner? Or perhaps you have a hard time setting boundaries with a parent, friend or colleague? Maybe you find yourself repeating the same argument with a sibling or family member?

I always have been drawn to uncovering the complex ways we are impacted the experiences in our lives. In particular the impact of trauma on our resilience and on our 'stuck' places. Our bodies carry the weight of our histories and the histories we inherit. In reprocessing trauma it is necessary for us to be attuned to these somatic experiences and to foster the wisdom stored within our bodies.

My ideal client is someone who has struggled to feel comfortable in their own skin. Someone who has a history of beating themselves up because they cannot live up to their or others' expectations. I often work with clients who want to learn how to better process their emotions and understand why they do what they do. Many clients have a history of anxiety, depression, or trauma. Whether it's due to harm caused by others, body shame, chronic illness, ADHD, ASD, or anything else, we will work to understand where these thoughts and feelings come from to allow for healing and change.

My focus is to help individuals embrace their vulnerability, heal, and become aware of their inner strength. I achieve this by listening to your concerns free of judgement and customizing a treatment plan most suitable for your current needs.

Seeking counseling can be a challenging process and it’s important to work with a therapist that is the right fit for you. I thrive in working with individuals feeling overwhelmed, wanting relief, or seeking a deeper understanding of themselves. While these experiences can leave us feeling stuck in a broad range of emotional states, such as shame, guilt, anxiety, numbness, or isolation, I can help with navigating the stressors that are part of your everyday lived experience. I value collaborating with clients to support them in their journey to achieve harmony, fulfillment, and happiness.

Most of us desire to live our lives with a sense of confidence, purpose, and closeness with others, but difficult life experiences can lead us to build walls for protection and safety, and as a result, we can lose our sense of connection with ourselves and others. If you are here, you may be feeling some combination of lost, alone, stuck, anxious, afraid, unsure, frustrated or angry, overwhelmed, grief, worried, low, sad and/or depressed. We can work together to help you bring a greater sense of control, satisfaction, and ease into your life.

We all face ups and downs in life. While we do our best & can pick ourselves up in most cases, sometimes we get stuck & the solutions we devise don't work. During these times we need someone to guide us through a process that can help us move past these issues & give us valuable insights into ourselves.

Emotional pain is inevitable in life. Feelings of stress, inadequacy, disappointment, anxiety, anger, and grief are universal and part of the shared human experience. Every individual experience these feelings through different situations and all of us interpret these experiences through varied perspectives because of our culture, personal history and personality differences. To move on, sometimes we learn to mask our difficult emotions by suffering in silence or behaving as though everything is okay. However, when we avoid facing our pain, they may fester within us and result in more shame and turmoil that affects our daily lives.
