I believe therapy and counselling relationships should be similar to other health professionals we use - like doctors, dentists and physio, we tend to build a professional relationship with someone we trust, integrate them into our lives, and call on them when needed.
My typical clients are teens, adults & couples, experiencing a feeling of being stuck in re-occurring patterns in their lives. They often have insight into their experience, and are aware of what needs to change - they just need a bit of support making it happen!

Communication and trust is important in the counsellor/client relationship. I'm passionate in helping people feel better. Whether your struggling with anxiety, depression, or just going through a hard time, I will do my absolute best to support you. Most people need an outlet to process their life experiences. They want to be heard and not judged. They want to leave feeling better, motivated, with improved self esteem and awareness. It can be exhausting living with guilt, seeking approval by saying "yes" to things all the time, and needing to be perfect. Let's break these type of patterns together!

I help my clients by providing a gentle and compassionate approach, therapies including EMDR, CBT, Imago Relationship Therapy, and DBT, and many other tools and insights I've learned along the many years of my practice.
Feeling lost, exhausted, sad, always on edge, or traumatized? Feeling more emotional pain than joy in your relationship? Now is the time to reach out. If you are seeking to be relieved of tension or pain, feel happier, feel less stressed, and be able to move forward, the start of your journey is making a simple phone call or sending me a message. I will be honoured to hold your story carefully and respectfully, and collaborate with you until things improve or your suffering goes away altogether, depending on your goals. I am an LGBTQIA2S+ affirming therapist and provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to be themselves.

I have worked in the field of substance use for many years, and often work with people who want to change their relationship with alcohol or other drugs, or who want to explore whether that change is necessary for them.
Hello, my name is Kali. I support people in making meaningful changes in their lives, and in increasing their sense of purpose, belonging, and connectedness. I support people struggling with issues such as substance use, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, boundary setting, and relationship challenges. I also support people who just feel stuck and want help figuring out what the next step is, and how to get moving forward.

Whether it’s managing stress, improving body image, boosting self-confidence, tackling anxiety, or navigating relationship challenges, I'm here to offer encouragement and support every step of the way.
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in a cycle of 'shoulds' and comparison? Struggling with low self-esteem and body image concerns, constantly measuring your worth against unrealistic standards? In our fast-paced world, it's all too easy to lose sight of our own needs, always putting ourselves last. But you don't have to navigate these challenges alone. You deserve a safe space to explore your struggles without judgment, to untangle the knots of your mind and heart, and to emerge stronger and more resilient. I strive to foster a genuine connection with each person I work with, creating a supportive environment for exploration.

My focus is working with individuals who may be experiencing various stresses like anxiety, low mood; or perhaps difficulties managing emotions, and feeling reactive in interpersonal circumstances. With a background working with moderate to severe concerns of children & youth, I can support parents in identifying the concerns of their child, and support them in learning how to connect and attune to their children's needs. I also work with couples who are looking to strengthen their relationship and prepare for transitions like parenthood. Lastly, I enjoy integrating my Christian faith background into the practice as clients see fit.

Choosing a counsellor can be daunting but worth the effort as the relationship is so important.
One of the most exciting aspects of life is that it is always changing, yet this can also be one of our biggest challenges. Life's transitional moments can be difficult as they can cause stress, uncertainty and confusion and can often lead to feelings of grief and loss. It can make us question ourselves and others and may overwhelm us into inaction. The picture of what we had expected our future to look like changes and we are left with a variety of emotions and no plan forward. I believe that having someone to talk to through these tough times is so helpful. I am grateful to be that person for my clients.

Emotional pain is inevitable in life. Feelings of stress, inadequacy, disappointment, anxiety, anger, and sadness are universal and part of the shared human experience. Every individual experience these feelings through different situations and all of us interpret these experiences through varied perspectives because of our past and personality differences. In order to move on from our hurts, sometimes we learn to mask our feelings by suffering in silence or behaving as though everything is okay. However, when we avoid facing our pain, they may fester within us and surface through family / career / relationship / health issues.

The therapeutic relationship acts as a profound agent of change and this is the foundation of my work.
Most of us desire to live our lives with a sense of confidence, purpose, and closeness with others, but difficult life experiences can lead us to build walls for protection and safety, and as a result, we can lose our sense of connection with ourselves and others. If you are here, you may be feeling some combination of lost, alone, stuck, anxious, afraid, unsure, frustrated or angry, overwhelmed, grief, worried, low, sad and/or depressed. We can work together to help you bring a greater sense of control, satisfaction, and ease into your life.
