My clients often deal with anxiety, NPE/NCE (non-parent/child expected), loss and grief (including pet loss) as well as other life challenges.
It's not easy taking that first step. You've probably been thinking about it for awhile. Opening up to a stranger, sharing personal thoughts and feelings, fear of being judged; these are some of the reasons people put off going for help. I get it! I'm here to give you a soft place to land, a place where you can speak and be heard, and to process your unique life experiences. Together, we can work on coping skills, grounding techniques or just talk it out, whatever you need to work through any challenging emotions in order to move towards healing.

Start finding your way through grief.
Grief can be isolating and it can be difficult to understand if things are getting better or worse. What you are dealing with can take time and you don't have to do it alone.

Hello and welcome. Has something changed and life just doesn't seem as fulfilling or enjoyable as it once did? Maybe it never has and it's time to make a change. Is there something you have experienced that is having an impact on you that you want to explore and understand more deeply? Is there fear, guilt, shame, grief, or regret holding you back from doing what you want to do, showing up as your best self, or living your best life? Sometimes we feel worse before we feel better, and that seems to be part of the journey. You don't have to do it alone.

There are many causes of grief: loss of a loved one, a beloved pet, loss of a long held dream, and many others.
I'm glad you're here. Grief is hard. It can feel make you feel stuck or frozen, as if life just stopped but the world kept spinning and moving without you and the loved one you lost. How can it do that? Or maybe you're in the process of losing someone - not quite there, but also not gone. It is hard, holding loss, while trying to have some hope for the future. Grief comes with seemingly endless waves of different emotions and questions. We can create a safe, non-judgmental space for all of it.

My focus lies in providing counselling to clients impacted by various adversities such as traumatic events, loss, chronic pain, disability, stress, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal difficulties.
Human suffering takes many forms. Whether through conflict, trauma, strained relationships, or life transitions, it often leaves one feeling adrift without purpose. If you need empathy to help you understand what you are going through, some context for why you are stuck, and guidance to move on from here, I offer a supportive, non-judgemental approach. With over 40 years of professional experience and drawing from my life encounters, I integrate Cognitive behavioural, narrative, and solution-focused therapy within a strength-based client-centred framework

Loss can have many faces: the death of a loved one, relationships ending, changes in your health (or hormones), unfulfilled dreams.
I am passionate about working with women and addressing issues that are standing in the way of you experiencing life from a place of joy, self-love and empowerment. As women we tend to wear many hats such as daughter, mother, spouse, caregiver, career woman. Low self-esteem, co-dependency or inability to say no, feeling responsible, poor body image, fertility issues, sexual abuse or abuse, perfectionism or emotional eating...all these challenges can create stress and overwhelm which can lead to anxiety, depression and more. Pls check out my website www.goddessrevealed.ca for more information about my work.

I'll be honoured to help you embrace and speak about your grief, let bullies deal with their own troubles, come to terms with unresolved issues, transition in life, and find your true authentic self.
Hey you! I just want you to know that you have the right to be here, to express and talk about your emotions, and to become who you really are. Yes, in my previous career I too have been a victim of bullies at work. But it always stayed beneath the surface until I lost my beloved pets whom always given me strength, unconditional love and loyalty. I felt lonely, stuck and helpless. That's where I realized that I needed connect with my authentic self and learn to deal with the grief...and work on the emotional wounds bullies have left me with years ago.

I see many kinds of people with concerns ranging from anxiety and depression, to stress, trauma, and loss, to relationships and personal growth.
The people I work with tend to be caring, open-minded, and high-functioning folks who at times march to the beat of their own drummer or have a unique perspective, who may struggle at times even if they don't show it, and who like to ‘get to the heart of things’ in their relationships, in their work, and in their engagement with life. Many things in this life can hurt us, our habitual defences against pain can muddle things, and sometimes we just get lost. Whether you are in the process of healing yourself, fostering deeper connection with others, or pursuing a life well-lived, I am here to support you.

If you have had traumatic or painful events, or if you are in toxic relationships, keep reading because I may be able to help you. On a warm Tuesday morning in September, my mother died after a period of great suffering. I could not imagine my life without her, and I did not have any idea how my life was going to continue. Her doctor encouraged me to see my mother’s death as though it had brought her freedom. Freedom was a concept that I had never known before; sadness and pain were what I knew. On that day, I started my search of freedom until I found it years later.

In our sessions, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your thoughts and emotions, so we can create meaningful change together. While counseling can be challenging, I believe it should also include humour, hope, and comfort, making it a place where you can truly learn and grow. Many of my clients seek support during life transitions or when grappling with an inner critic and overwhelming emotions. I specialize in helping with anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, parenting and family dynamics, relationship issues, grief and loss, trauma, psychedelic integration, and career concerns.

Grief Counsellors

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
