I grew up on a family farm in rural Manitoba and have focused most of my 40 year career in rural based child and adolescent community mental health . I have had the pleasure to meet with numerous children, adolescents, parents and families in the west-man area. Along with my RPN BScMH background, I hold an Advanced Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. As such I am passionate about helping children, teenagers , as well as their families. I wholeheartedly believe that with early intervention we can create a lasting change for the future. I work collaboratively with children and adults to create a healing space .
I have extensive experience in working with mental health issues and behavioral challenges including ADHD, Mood Disorders, Suicidal Ideation ,Anxiety Disorders, Relational Issues, Attachment Trauma , Body Image, Self Esteem, Bullying, Grief Loss, Separation and Divorce. I utilize clinical interventions integrating evidence based frameworks.
It is my privilege to guide individuals as they unlock new ways of being, thinking, and experiencing themselves in the world.
