I am experienced in providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families experiencing a range of clinical issues including anxiety, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, and trauma. My areas of expertise include the treatment of psychological trauma, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and couple and family relationships. I work extensively with couples/families, First Responders (Police, Corrections, Paramedics, Fire Fighters, Veterans) and individuals who have experienced childhood abuse/neglect and other forms of psychological trauma. I also provide Clinical Supervision to RSWs, RPs, and practicum students.
I use an attachment and trauma-informed lens in providing a range of evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Attachment Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
I believe in the importance of authenticity, empathy, and compassion in my work. I take a client-entered and collaborative approach, working with clients to gain insight into the factors and experiences that have contributed to their difficulties, move towards their goals, and achieve a sense of agency and fulfillment in their lives and relationships.
