Often times, it can be difficult to talk our way out of trauma, depression or anxiety. It can impact the relationship between our mind and body as well as our ability to connect with self and other. I am here to offer a container to explore difficult experiences and emotions and to help you hold things that may be difficult to put into words. I believe that you are the expert on you and together we can work to discover your strengths, inner wisdom and resources so that you feel empowered in your healing process.
My approach is rooted in trauma-informed therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, polyvagal theory, somatic parts work and expressive arts therapy. Sometimes words alone cannot honour the depths of our experiences. Body-based therapies can provide an additional way of exploring and integrating our experiences.
I believe that in meeting and befriending parts of ourselves that may have been abandoned or forgotten, we can learn to live a more balanced and inspired life. I aim to support you in embodying self-compassion, discovering healthy coping strategies, exploring and integrating traumatic experiences and finding deeper connection with yourself and others.
