Each individual's journey includes small and large traumas that impact them non-consciously throughout life. The traumas, or wounds, affect their thoughts, emotions, physical body and approach to life. They manifest most profoundly in behavioural issues, personality issues, mood disorders and anxiety. So one of the best ways to heal from these issues is to understand and re-process the trauma that led to them. I believe that that's where deep healing lies.
I take clients through a process of (1) building rapport in our relationship (2) helping the client to feel safe, heard and seen (3) delving into past events, in a safe manner, which need to be confronted in order to heal (4) building an understanding of how those events affect the client here-and-now and (5) using integrative psychotherapy to begin healing.
