I have been in practice for over 35 years with individuals, couples and families. I am also a registered marriage and family therapist. I deal with many different issues in people's lives such as life transitions, anxiety, depression, marital strife, family problems, loss, trauma. Often issues overlap with each other. The goal is to help each person or couple or family find ways to move forward and mange and /or reduce and/or eliminate the problem(s). The process is collaborative using the skills that individuals may already have.

My specialty is anxiety and depression, helping people have tools to manage the symptoms. Trauma work, helping people neutralize the emotional responses with the use of various self-regulation techniques and EMDR (Eye movement, desensitization and reprocessing), a highly effective intervention with de-traumatizing work. Couple and family work too.

Years of practice, ongoing upgrading of newer theories & skills & integrating them provides me with a vast amount of approaches that allow me to customize interventions to the needs and presenting problems for which clients are seeking help. Having worked in psychiatry provides a larger baseline from which to work.
