My experience includes over a decade of working in mental health and community-based settings. My approach includes evidence-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness and EMDR. I specialize in helping clients who want to heal from traumatic or distressing experiences or overcome self-limiting thoughts in order to grow and live more fully. My guiding principle is that each individual has the innate wisdom to heal from trauma and overcome personal challenges when they feel heard and understood.
I see my role as a guide and the counselling process as an opportunity to help you gain clarity about what is important to you. Everyday life is increasingly complex and we are presented with endless possibilities of how things ‘should be.’ This can lead to feeling disconnected from your gut instinct or feeling not good enough.
I am attuned to the multiple roles and expectations many of us juggle. The weight of cultural and societal expectations can feel overwhelming especially in the context of childhood adversity and trauma. My approach is founded on building a collaborative and compassionate environment where you can explore your inner world with effective guidance.
