I aim to bring an authentic, intuitive and transparent approach to counselling. My goal as a therapist is to collaborate with clients in safely reconnecting to themselves through intention, curiosity, creativity and compassionately challenging them. I believe that clients already have a reservoir of resources within them, and my role is to help them access it.
I am also an EMDR trauma therapist, helping my clients overcome PTSD, complex trauma, and the impacts of adverse childhood experiences. Moreover, I specialize in working with women who have experienced physical, mental, and sexual abuse in their early childhood, in their youth, in their past relationships, or their current partnerships.
I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention when working with clients with perfectionist and OCD tendencies.I bring years of experience working in the anti-violence sector from an anti-oppressive and social justice lens. My humour, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard for clients are beautiful results of my evolving relationship with trauma.
